Another great digital product from Samsung. Very easy to operate and set up. It was a smooth and easy transaction and have had no problems with the product.
Picasa. Now on to the good stuff. You can integrate with Frame Channel, RSS feeds, or just about any old web page that have images BIGGER than 400px by 200px(this last feature i have not tried yet)Picture quality is superb, set-up should be relatively simple for someone that is semi tech savvy. all supported via the built in FrameChannel.
It is however expandable with SD or any other major flash card (Including SD-HC) so if you already have those lying around you are good to go. For the price you pay, you get today's most sought after features in a digital WiFi picture Frame. Flickr. A couple of Power On Power Off Cycles and a fresh firmware install did the trick. i absolutely love the connectivity features and since I and assuming most people have thousands of pictures stored online, this frame and the associated ways to acquire content (FrameChannel, RSS, MS Live, etc) is the way to use this frame.
Photobucket. Now everything is working great. With a paltry 64MB in on-board storage, you'll hit the maximum image ceiling pretty quickly. Custom RSS feeds are also supported. Got Facebook.
no problem. Anyways the reason i gave it four stars is because 1) navigation buttons can be a little confusing2) at first it did not recognize ANY WiFi networks, 3) it was stuck trying to acquire the Frame Channel Image ID. And for $126 you get what you pay $250 for the Dlink DSM-210 (granted its 2 inches bigger) Digital picture frame for.I recommend it.
Especially at this price ($60), you really can't go wrong with product. It's super easy to operate: all you need to do is hook it up to your computer (PC or Mac) and your computer will recognize it as a regular USB mass storage unit, no drivers necessary (if you are still runing Windows 98, please upgrade to XP at least).
I've had Pandigital 5" digital frames and Insignia frames before. I bought the last remaining Samsung SPF-85H 8" digital frame from Fry's about a week ago.
The pictures look excellent and it doesn't overheat like the other brand's. Samsung beats all others.
This is the frame to get. Samsung makes the best LCD screens on the face of the earth today.
Buy one TODAY.
All my USB devices work just fine. I was going to load up a bunch of pictures and then send it as a gift. I have purchased this item as a gift for someone. except for this one. The setup was anything but simple. It took me hours to get it to work with my reasonably new Dell laptop (and I would consider myself an advanced PC user). I was so frustrated that I was ready to put it back in the box and return it. Samsung.com website was not helpful and the manual has 2 pages that are in English.
I have an older model and bought this to my parents. In additions it is NOT wide so your pics are OK right when you put them there. Much much better than the previous. Very elegant, lovely on-front controllers and menus. It has everything you need for a Picture Display and more. Very very recommended product.
